Bradford Council has given notice of temporary road closures across the district due to roadworks.

Among the roads that will be closed for various periods of time this month are as follows:

Rockhill Lane, Bierley: lighting works on or near Rockhill Lane, Bierley, Bradford means that the length of Rockhill Lane from its junction with Bierley Lane, to its junction with Wharfedale Road will be closed to traffic from 7pm today to 7am tomorrow and will continue to be closed during those hours until Friday October 22.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the order will be via Wharfedale Road, Merrydale Road, Staithgate Lane, Rooley Lane, Bieriey Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the duration of the work.

Denholme Road, Oxenhope: work on the telecommunication system on or near Denholme Road, Oxenhope will result in the temporary closure of Denholme Road from a point outside number 73 to its junction with Sykes Lane.

The proposed traffic order will come into effect at 8am on Wednesday October 20 and remain in force until 6pm on Thursday October 21.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the order will be via Denholme Road (the unaffected section), Station Road, Keighley Road, Hebden Road, Brow Top Road, Black Moor Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times while the work is being carried out.

Chase Way, Bradford: electrical works to be carried out on or near Chase Way, Bradford, have led to the closure Chase Way from its junction with Rooley lane to its junction with Chase way. This traffic prevention order is already in place and will remain until 6pm on Monday October 25.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the proposal will be via Rooley Lane, Mayo Avenue, Manchester Road, Mayo Avenue, Chase Way and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times during the work.

Bradford Council has also published a list of applications that require advertising under the Town & Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) Order 2015

These include an application which affects the setting of a listed building in Shipley. The proposal is to use part of the basement floor - a former storage area - for the manufacture of juice and non-alcoholic drinks, at premises in Victoria Mills, Salts Mill Road, Shipley.

The application includes forming a new opening in the existing façade incorporating a new metal stair for access.
