STEETON were back to winning ways with a 3-0 mauling of high placed Chadderton.
Toby Jeffrey, Kayle Price and Jahro Parchment were the scorers on a day Roy Mason's men forgot about their previous two defeats to pick up a priceless three points on the road.
15 minutes in, it was Jefferey's brilliant free kick which broke the deadlock.
In-form striker Price (right) put the shine on a brilliant first half by adding his name to the scoresheet.
Jahro Parchment headed home after the break to seal a quality North West Counties League First Division North victory for the Chevrons over their sixth-placed opponents.
It does not get any easier for Steeton as they play promotion hopefuls Holker Old Boys at home this Saturday.
Unfortunately for Silsden, their hosting of Penistone Church was abandoned on the 25th minute mark following a serious head injury. The scoreline was 1-1 at the time.
With its quickfire start the game was set to be a barn burner before the injury occurred.
Jack Normanton had put the hosts ahead on the 11th minute mark and Penistone equalised moments later.
Danny Forrest's side must now wait until Tuesday to be back in action when they travel to Barton Town in the second round of the NCE League Cup.
