PLANS for a new industrial building on a site in Keighley have been approved by Bradford Council.
An application to demolish older buildings on the Byworth Boilers site, Station Works, and construct a 324-square-metre boiler maintenance building in their place was submitted to the council in June. The scheme has now been given the green light.
Planning officers said: “The site is located within an allocated employment zone and therefore the proposed industrial unit is considered to be compatible with neighbouring commercial land uses.” They added that the new building would have a smaller footprint than those to be demolished.
