A WARNING has been issued after burglars stole car keys from a house and then took the vehicle.
The incident happened at Clock View Street, in the Beechcliffe area of Keighley, last Friday (November 19).
West Yorkshire Police say entry to the property was gained via the back door and the keys were taken from a table.
The vehicle was recovered about two hours later.
Police have issued home and vehicle security advice to householders.
They say car keys should be kept out of sight and not within reach of letterboxes, and people should ensure doors are locked – even when the house is occupied. Motorists with a garage are encouraged to use it for the vehicle, rather than as a storage area. And people who have a driveway with gates are urged to keep the gates locked.
