HAWORTH & Worth Valley Rotary Club has given a boost to a children’s hospice.
The Rotarians have presented £2,000 to Martin House.
A cheque was handed over by club president Gary Gardner at a gathering at Newsholme Manor, Oakworth, to hospice representative Chris Verney.
The money was raised through an ongoing crowdfunding campaign staged by the club.
“The £2,000 represents what we have raised for the hospice so far,” said Gary.
“We’re keeping the fund open until the end of the year in the hope we can add to that total.”
People can donate to the campaign at tinyurl.com/Martinhousehospice.
Martin House, at Boston Spa, provides family-led care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions. It supports families from across West, North and East Yorkshire, both at the hospice and in the community.
