A CLEAN sweep has been made of a village.
A team of volunteers turned out on Saturday to clear leaves from the main road through Oakworth.
A stretch between Christ Church and Oakworth Manor Care Home was targeted.
And five builders' bags full of 'debris' was cleared during the two-hour session.
The working day was organised by Oakworth ward town councillors Luke Maunsell and Mark Curtis, who were joined by others including Judy Curtis, town councillor Martin Walker, Worth Valley district councillor Rebecca Poulsen and resident Jan Orys.
Cllr Maunsell said: "Despite the weather, our first working day was a success. We are looking forward to doing similar days in the near future."
Cllr Curtis thanked everyone who turned out to help at the event.
