GARDEN courtyards at Airedale Hospital could soon be coming-up roses thanks to a donation from the Co-op Community Fund.
The Friends of Airedale received over £7,500.
John Lofthouse, the Friends chair, said: "We’re delighted that the Co-op has chosen to support us with this project.
"The donation will go a long way towards being able to offer a grant to all those responsible for outside courtyard spaces at the hospital, so they can buy new plants and shrubs to improve the garden areas."
Those applying for the hospital grants will also be entered into a competition to find the 'best courtyard keeper'.
Friends of Airedale volunteers undertake a number of roles within the hospital and the community. The group also raises money to buy equipment.
