A CHARITY joined forces with an electrical store in Keighley to pay a special tribute to Airedale Hospital staff.

Green Crescent Aid UK – in conjunction with Currys, of Keighley Retail Park, Hard Ings Road – distributed chocolates and an Amazon kindle to employees on the elderly patients' ward at the Steeton hospital.

The donation was to thank staff for their "hard work in providing exceptional care" for patients.

A spokesperson for Green Crescent Aid UK said: "This past year has been really tough, with new Covid-19 variants and more hospital admissions.

"We are extremely grateful for our local hospital and we want the staff to know that their hard work is acknowledged and appreciated by the community."

Green Crescent Aid UK also supported Airedale Hospital this year through hugely-successful fun days, organised in conjunction with Keighley Town Council.

Money was donated to causes including the hospital's hydrotherapy pool appeal.
