A KEIGHLEY company is supporting a mental health organisation based in the town.

Clever Energy Boilers has launched a collaboration with award-winning #ItsWorthTalkingAbout by donating £500.

And the Lawkholme Lane firm, which installs boilers and air source heat pumps, has pledged its ongoing backing.

As part of the link-up, Clever Energy Boilers will slash 30 per cent from the cost of a new Worcester Bosch boiler installation for anyone calling on 0330 055 2210 and quoting #ItsWorthTalkingAbout.

And the company will donate a further £250 once the work is complete.

Rachel Parkinson, charity partnerships manager with Clever Energy Boilers, said: "This is a really important partnership for us.

"These past two years have been extremely tough on everyone’s mental health and the work that #ItsWorthTalkingAbout does in our local area is absolutely vital. Being able to support them like this is our way of thanking them for their amazing efforts and for helping to look after the community that we value so much."

#ItsWorthTalkingAbout began in March, 2020, as a single men's mental health peer support group in Keighley.

It has grown into a not-for-profit organisation providing help to men and women through regular, free drop-in sessions at locations including Bingley, Cross Roads, Cullingworth, Haworth, Headingley, Queensbury, Saltaire, Silsden, Tong and Wilsden – as well as Keighley.

Last year it also announced the launch of a project offering mental health support to teenagers, with sessions in Haworth for 13-to-16-year-olds.

The aim was to encourage teenagers to talk about any mental health or life concerns that they might be experiencing, teach them about mental health conditions, promote regulating emotions and also to participate in traditional youth-club activities to develop support circles and friendships.

Last month, #ItsWorthTalkingAbout received the Mind Community Spotlight accolade at the Marsh Charitable Trust Awards.

Ryan Anderton, for #ItsWorthTalkingAbout, welcomes the new partnership.

"I've known the owners of Clever Energy Boilers for most of my life," he said.

"We share strong associations with both Oxenhope Recreation FC and Keighley Cougars, so when they approached me to develop this link I knew it would significantly help both parties to strengthen our community presence in and around Keighley.

"We are delighted to have the support of another such well-established local business."

Clever Energy Boilers is a Worcester Bosch accredited gas boiler installer, as well as supplying and installing air source heat pumps.

It works across the north and the Midlands.
