A DAY of action in Keighley staged to support the NHS was hailed as a huge success.
Members of the Bradford branch of union Unite Community held a stall outside the market, in Low Street, as part of a national initiative.
They handed out postcards and leaflets encouraging people to lobby Keighley MP Robbie Moore over the Health and Care Bill, which they say will be "a disaster" for healthcare services leading to further privatisation and cuts.
A union spokesperson said: "It was a great day, with the people of Keighley showing fantastic support.
"Key issues included the demand for pay justice for NHS workers. Below-inflationary pay rises are a slap in the face.
"About 100 postcards were completed to be delivered to the MP."
