THERE were two incredible off-field moments at Cougar Park on Sunday, as Rhys Lovegrove's Keighley Cougars side enjoyed a magnificent day on the pitch, winning 26-6 against Doncaster.

First, the Cougars welcomed back much loved director Mike Smith to the ground.

Smith was badly injured in an aggravated burglary at his home at the end of November, and he spent several months in hospital, at both Leeds General Infirmary and Airedale General Hospital.

But with his rehabilitation going well, he was back in a wheelchair to watch Keighley in action for the first time since the incident.

And Dan Parker may have been suspended, but he still did his bit on Sunday.

The utility player was on hand to help one of Keighley's stewards after a post-match fall.

Parker then took the stricken steward home, who is now doing well and wanted to pass his thanks on to the player.
