A THREE-day Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebration is being staged at Riddlesden.
The event is being hosted by the Applegarth – Riddlesden and Morton United Services Club – in Banks Lane.
Activities will begin with an open day gin festival on Friday, June 3, from 3pm. Around 40 different gins will be available, together with some specially-created royal cocktails.
On the Saturday, June 4, a party night will feature live music and entertainment from Lauren Brook, starting at 7.30pm.
And a family fun day takes place from noon on Sunday, June 5. Attractions will include music performances by students of local singing coach Emi Hall; family games such as bingo, a royal quiz and tombola; a barbecue and a Great Riddlesden Bake Off competition. The Bake Off is open to all ages. It costs £5 to enter homemade cakes and entries should be taken to the club between 11.30am-noon on the day for judging.
Event organiser Emma Rigg: "It promises to be a spectacular weekend, with something for everyone – and a chance to bring the community together to celebrate."
Admission to the events is free. For more details, visit the Applegarth Club (Riddlesden and Morton United Services Club) on Facebook.
