SEVERAL members of a riding for the disabled group have qualified for national championships.

Taking part in their first face-to-face competition in three years, a contingent from Haworth Riding for the Disabled has qualified in showjumping, dressage and a countryside challenge.

The riders are Gabby Reed Griffiths, Alisha Marshall, Lucy Hargreaves, Rose Green, T Jay Wilson, Jenny Lee, Rebecca Harper and Martyna Szyfer.

Horses were Ruby, Captain Jack Sparrow and Domino.

"Over 13 riders from the group took part and they all did really well," said Jackie Butterfield, founder of Haworth Riding for the Disabled and the yard manager.

"A different ten riders are taking part in the virtual championships later in the year."

The national championships take place at Hartpury College, Gloucestershire, in July.
