COLLEAGUES at a Keighley workplace are cycling to Ukraine – without leaving their premises!

Twelve workers at Euro Car Parts are taking turns on an exercise bike – and walking – to clock-up the mileage.

Together they're aiming to cover 1,704 miles – the equivalent of the journey to Ukraine, where 900 people are employed by the firm's parent company, LKQ.

The Keighley workforce and Euro Car Parts' 13 other branches in the region are striving to raise £20,000 in total, towards buying and delivering an ambulance for Ukraine.

Garry Worsnop – manager at the Keighley branch, in Worth Way – says: "We are hoping to complete the full distance by the end of June. If we reach the target distance early, we'll just keep going until the end of the month."

Euro Car Parts is one of the UK's largest motor factors companies, with more than 230 branches nationwide.
