SILSDEN Proms on the Farm is back after a six-year break – with a new organising team and venue.

The event will take place at Jackson's field on Saturday, July 16.

Behind the Proms are representatives of Silsden and Steeton Sue Ryder Manorlands Support Group, and Silsden Methodist Church. Proceeds will be split between the church and the Oxenhope hospice.

"We hope previous supporters will see that we’ve kept the special feel and format very similar," said a spokesperson.

"There's an evening of music from Tewit Silver Band, Swing City Big Band and the 1960 Four band, as well as two soloists – Sarah Halstead and April Grime. There will be the traditional Last Night of the Proms music, so don't forget your flags!"

Book a space to erect a gazebo, or take a chair and sit in the arena. No food or drink will be available, so people should take a picnic. There will be a 'best-dressed gazebo' challenge.

Gates will open at 2pm, and entertainment will run from 6.30pm-11pm.

There will also be an auction, raffle and bottle tombola.
