MOTORBIKERS are gearing-up for a charity show.

The Aire Valley Classic Motorcycle Club, formerly Steeton-based Girder Fork, is staging its Big Bike Sunday.

A range of classic and modern machines will be on display at the event, at Skipton Auction Mart on Sunday (June 26).

All owners of two and three-wheeled vehicles, from 50cc mopeds to trikes powered by car engines, are invited to exhibit.

"The event is where classic and modern motorcycles are shown by their owners hoping to be awarded a 'best in' accolade," said a spokesperson. "There have been over 100 motorcycles on show in previous years, covering a century of manufacture.

"The event can be under cover if the weather is inclement."

Exhibitors’ motorcycles should be in place by 10.30am and the event opens to the public at 11am. The prize presentation will take place at about 3pm.

There will be refreshments and stalls.

Admission is £3 for adults, with accompanied under-16s admitted free.

Proceeds will go to charities including Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice Manorlands and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

The last show, in 2019, raised more than £3,500.
