HOME shopping giant Damart – whose warehousing facility is at Steeton – has given its backing to a junior softball team.
The company is sponsoring the Bingley Congs Cricket Club under-nines.
As part of the deal the team has received new kits, and a board promoting the club will be displayed at its Beckfoot Lane ground.
Claire Brown, online merchandise manager with Damart, said: "As well as supporting our charity partners, we feel it is really important to be able to give something back to the local community.
"We’re always thrilled to support clubs like the Bingley Congs Cricket Club and see the positive impact of our sponsorship. We wish the team every success for the coming season."
Club chair, David Tarren, said: "Sponsorship from local businesses such as Damart is invaluable in supporting the work we do with our junior teams. We're very grateful to Damart for its support."
