KEIGHLEY Lions Club – in partnership with the town council – has donated books raising awareness of climate change to primary schools across the district.
More than 30 schools have received the Wild Tribe Heroes books, as part of a wider Lions project throughout the UK.
Funding was provided by Keighley Lions and the town council.
Town mayor, Councillor Luke Maunsell, said: "The books are absolutely fantastic.
"As a teacher, I can see how well received they are going to be in primary schools and the countless lessons which can be created from them.
"Not only that, but the books also serve as a timely and important reminder of the environmental crisis we are currently in."
Some schools collected their books from Keighley Library, and Lions members delivered the rest.
Lion Hazel Jiggins championed the project during her year as club president, and she thanked everyone involved in the initiative.
