PLAYING for Kicks is headlining at Haworth's latest Groovy Happening.

The band will perform two sets at the event, on Saturday, February 4.

Its eclectic mix features familiar songs, spanning a period from the 1960s to the 2000s.

First on stage will be Groovy debutant Rob McLaughlan, a solo acoustic guitar singer/songwriter. He adds his own style to popular songs dating from the 1970s to the present day.

And he will be followed by another newcomer to the event, the Bingley-based musician Cornell Daley. He has performed as both a solo act, and as the drummer in four-piece covers band Sixteen Days, for more than 15 years.

The latest Groovy Happening is the 125th.

It takes place upstairs at the Parkside Social Club. Doors open at 7.30pm.

Admission is £5, cash only, with all proceeds going to Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice Manorlands.

Over the years, the event has raised £45,000.
