A 69-YEAR-OLD Keighley singer-songwriter has released her first solo album.
Queen of the Highway features self-penned songs by Pam Johnson, who describes her music as "Americana with a bit of country and folk for good measure!"
Pam is a member of Talent is Timeless, a group of songwriters aged 50-plus which started up during the pandemic.
She says: "It seems the music industry doesn’t recognise the wealth of talent amongst the older population.
"Many of the group got into songwriting post-retirement and we have great stories to tell.
"I’m thrilled by the reaction to the songs on this album. CD and download sales are going well."
As well as performing solo, Pam is also one half of acoustic harmonies duo Mockingbirds.
Queen of the Highway was recorded by Steve Chapman-Smith, at Spring Hill Studios, Wilsden.
It's available as a CD or download from Bandcamp at pamjohnson1.bandcamp.com, and via streaming platforms.
