A CHARITY fundraising event has been hailed as a huge success.
The extravaganza – at Bingley St Ives Golf Club – raised £5,128 to be split between Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice Manorlands and Candlelighters, which supports children with cancer and their families.
Organisers were Isabel, Stuart and Rebecca Boocock, of Keighley Lifts, and Paddy and Jayne Ahern, of Aireview Equestrian Centre at Long Lee, with support from Sandra and Alex Robertson.
After attending many charity fundraisers in the past, they decided to hold their own – and were delighted with its success.
Attractions included a three-course meal, raffle and auction, and entertainment was provided by The Angelettes.
Mr Aherne was compere for the evening.
He thanked everyone who donated auction prizes – which ranged from Mike Tyson and Sugar Ray Leonard boxing gloves to a chauffeur-driven Bentley for the day – the table sponsors and all who gave their support.
