A SEARCH has begun for Keighley district's leading small businesses.

People are being urged to nominate those they feel deserve recognition.

Accolades will be presented to winners in each of four areas – Keighley, Craven, the Worth Valley and Ilkley – and an overall victor announced.

The Small Business Awards 2023 have been launched by Keighley MP Robbie Moore following the success of a similar initiative last year, which saw more than 4,000 votes cast.

Azeem’s Restaurant in Keighley took the 2022 overall crown.

Other winners were Crumbs Cafe in Silsden; ForTeas Tea Room, Haworth; BOLT Academy in Keighley, and Nursery Rhymes Nursery and Jabberwocky Club, Addingham.

Mr Moore says: "Our brilliant small independent businesses are the backbone of our local economy and it is so important that we promote, celebrate and support them as much as we can, particularly in the run up to Small Business Saturday – on December 2 – and the Christmas period."

To submit a nomination, go to RobbieMoore.org.uk/nominate. The closing date is Friday, December 8.
