A SILSDEN open gardens event has helped funds blossom for a group in the town.
A cheque for over £300, half the proceeds from the venture, has been presented to the Friends of Silsden Green Spaces.
Visitors were able to call at more than a dozen gardens across the town, over a weekend at the end of June.
Some venues offered afternoon teas, and there were plant sales and exhibitions.
Programmes which were available from Twiggs Newsagents in Kirkgate included a map with details of the participating gardens.
The event was sponsored by Climate Action Silsden.
Diana Lambert, for the organisers, says: "After the success of our first Silsden open gardens event in many years, we were delighted to hand over a cheque to our chosen charity."
A date for next year's event has already been set – it will take place on the weekend of June 28 and 29.
