A POPULAR choir is performing at Cullingworth as part of a series of appearances across the north.
Concordiamici will sing choral evensong – Book of Common Prayer – at St John's Church, on Saturday, September 21, at 4pm.
Everyone is welcome, and admission is free.
Choir director is Dr Judith Blezzard, and organ accompaniment will be provided by John Chapman and Thomas Dixon.
The programme will include Introit Sanctus, canticles Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis, Psalms, Preces and Responses, and hymns.
Performances are also being given at Morecambe Parish Church on September 22, Blackburn Cathedral on October 26 and St Wilfrid's Church, Harrogate, on October 27, all starting at 4pm.
A spokesperson for Concordiamici, which rehearses at Harden, says: "We are a group of friends, of all denominations and none, from many different walks of life.
"We come from across the north of England and for more than 10 years have been united by a love of singing sacred music.
"As part of this year's programme, we are singing music composed in every century, from the 16th to the 21st."
The choir has sung evensongs at numerous venues – from cathedrals, abbeys, priories and churches to Beamish Open Air Museum.
