How galas have brought joy to Keighley across the decades

Processions, stalls, fancy dress, games and children’s rides are among the staple fare of the community gatherings.

Sadly, changing times have seen some events scaled back or indeed disappear altogether.

But thankfully, many survive and continue to entertain the crowds.

With the gala season once again fast approaching, here we take a look back at some of those that have taken place in Keighley over the years.
