PUBS have long been at the heart of communities.
Keighley has boasted many across the years.
Some have survived, but sadly there have also been numerous ‘casualties’.
One of the most recent to close was the Cricketers Arms.
It called ‘last orders’ for the final time, in March, 2022, and has since been demolished to make way for the new Aldi development.
Originally known as the Sportsman, the Coney Lane pub dated back to the 1840s.
To mark its final day, fundraising took place for Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice Manorlands.
Here we raise a glass to some of the pubs that have been part of Keighley’s landscape through time.
