CHILDREN from Ingrow Primary School have been given a glimpse of life behind the famous front door at 10 Downing Street.
A group of 11 pupils visited the Prime Minister's official residence.
"It was a very special day for us," says a school spokesperson.
"We were lucky enough to step inside and embark on a tour of 10 Downing Street – an extraordinary experience.
"Visiting the heart of British democracy gave the children a unique insight into where national decisions are made, and allowed them to reflect on key values such as democracy, respect, tolerance and the rule of law.
"An inspiring and unforgettable day brought our pupils' learning to life and encouraged them to think about the role they play in our society’s future."
