SOUTH Craven partnerships could receive funding aimed at rejuvenating high streets.
York & North Yorkshire mayor David Skaith is inviting applications to his Vibrant and Sustainable High Streets Fund.
Groups of business and community organisations, working together formally or informally, could benefit from grant aid under the third round of the scheme.
Since the fund was launched in February 2024, nearly 40 projects have shared in more than £2 million.
"These projects are directly supporting local communities and contributing to the renewal of high streets across the region," says Mr Skaith.
"Phase three of the fund represents the final opportunity for partnerships to apply for support.
"Applicants will need to demonstrate clear, sustainable plans showing how their proposals will continue delivering benefits beyond the initial funding period, ensuring a lasting impact for local communities.
"To allow for seasonal pressures, the application window for the fund has been extended."
He adds: "Independent retailers are the heart of our communities, working tirelessly to ensure our high streets remain vibrant and welcoming places. That personal touch and dedication is something you can’t find online."
