AWARD-winning Silsden Repair Cafe headed to Parliament.
It was among around 100 repair groups from across the UK at an event organised by The Restart Project and Back Market.
Members nationally are calling for policy change to make the repair of goods easier.
They are also pressing for more MPs to sign the Repair and Reuse Declaration.
Demands include making repair more affordable, through tax reductions and vouchers; expansion of the UK’s 'right to repair' regulations to cover all consumer products; and the introduction of a repair index to help the public choose more repairable and durable products.
At the event, Silsden Repair Cafe's Louise Farnell met with Keighley & Ilkley MP Robbie Moore.
"It was brilliant to catch up with Louise," says Mr Moore.
"Following this fantastic event, I have signed the declaration.
"A huge 'well done' goes to Louise and the whole team for the work they do."
