NEW support is being provided to help the region's manufacturers transform to digital technology.
Government funding of £2.4 million has been announced for the Made Smarter programme.
The initiative provides small and medium-sized enterprises with advice and training, and match-funded grants of up to £20,000.
Since it was first launched in 2021, the scheme has engaged with more than 1,250 manufacturers, helping them take steps towards digital adoption.
Jessica Armitage, programme manager for Made Smarter Yorkshire & Humber, says: "This new wave of funding is a significant boost for the region's manufacturing community. Over the past few years, we have demonstrated what is possible when small and medium-sized enterprises are given the right combination of advice, skills and technology support.
"The continuation of the programme gives businesses the confidence to plan ahead, invest in their future and scale with purpose. We are excited to support the next wave of manufacturers to unlock productivity, build resilience and drive long-term growth across the region."
