An MP has thrown his support behind a grassroots football club.
Robbie Moore, MP for Keighley and Ilkley, joined a training session with Bucks AFC, which began as a small grassroots project and has since developed into a wider community football venture.
The club focuses on helping children grow not just as players but as "confident, respectful, and resilient" young people.
Mr Moore said: "It was great fun to take part in the training session, although Aaron, the club’s founder, certainly put me through my paces.
"The work being done at Bucks AFC is fantastic and is a brilliant example of how grassroots sports organisations can make such a positive difference in our communities.
"These clubs provide so much more than sporting opportunities, they help young people develop confidence, resilience and important life skills.
"It is vital that we support grassroots sports organisations both on and off the pitch.
"That means ensuring they have the security of tenure they need from the local authority so they can continue to invest, grow, and provide opportunities for young people for years to come.
