£18,000 of illegal goods are seized from Keighley businesses

Seven businesses in Keighley were searched during a joint operation on Thursday, September 10, involving West Yorkshire Trading Standards and Keighley Neighbourhood Policing Team.

A large quantity of illicit products was discovered and confiscated.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "On Thursday, officers from Keighley Neighbourhood Policing Team assisted West Yorkshire Trading Standards with a joint operation targeting the sale of illegal and illicit products in Keighley. 

"Seven different businesses were subjected to a search, during which approximately £18,000 worth of goods were located and seized. 

"This will now be followed up by Trading Standards with the potential for closure orders to be sought."
