A NIGHT out in inflatable duck costumes has raised nearly £1,000 for a local charity.
The fundraiser, dubbed the Human Duck Race, saw participants dressed in giant inflatable duck costumes touring pubs across Sutton and Cross Hills to collect donations for SELFA, the local charity they are currently supporting.
The event raised £950.20.
Steve Cotterill, landlord of The Kings Arms in Sutton-in-Craven, said: "I don't think any of us really knew what to expect when we set off, but we had an absolutely brilliant time.
"The reaction from people along the way was fantastic, and everyone was incredibly generous.
"I'd really like to thank all our fabulous ducks who agreed to look ridiculous with me, everyone who donated, and all the pubs and bars around Sutton and Cross Hills who welcomed our flock along the way."
The idea grew from the pub's weekly quiz nights, where little racing ducks are used.
