A POPULAR beer and gin festival is returning for a weekend of drinks, live music, and community fun.
The Glusburn and Crosshills Beer & Gin Festival will take place at Glusburn Institute this Friday, October 2, and this Saturday, October 3, offering more than 20 cask and keg beers, artisan gins, lager, and cider.
Now a staple of the community calendar, the event also features a full programme of live music.
The festival team said: "The Beer & Gin Festival has become a highlight in the calendar at Glusburn Institute.
"It’s about much more than just beer and gin – it’s a chance to bring people together, showcase some brilliant live music, and create a great atmosphere in the building."
Friday evening will kick off with a performance by Hit The Lights Band.
Saturday’s line-up includes Sharp Dressed Men, Taila-Mae, Daniel Chapman, and Sarah Widdup, with Night Patrol closing out the night.
For those seeking a quieter spot, the Institute’s Old Chapel will be open throughout the festival as a relaxed space to enjoy a drink and conversation.
Food will be served all weekend by Dave’s Artisan Wood-Fired Pizza, returning after popular demand in previous years.
The event also raises funds for the ongoing maintenance of the Grade II listed Glusburn Institute.
This year’s festival is sponsored by Leightons Estate Agency, with additional support from businesses sponsoring barrels and helping to organise the event.
All tickets cover full festival admission, allowing visitors to come and go across both days.
The team said: "We’re incredibly grateful to all the local businesses who support the festival through sponsorship, as well as all the volunteers who help make the weekend happen.
"Most importantly, the festival raises valuable funds for both Glusburn Institute and 1st Kildwick and Farnhill Scout Group.
"Both organisations play an important role in our local community, and the support people give simply by coming along and enjoying the weekend makes a genuine difference.
"Advance ticket sales have been fantastic this year and we’re now very limited on pre-booked tickets, so we’d encourage anyone planning to join us to get theirs booked."
Drinks will be available using a token system, with both cash and card payments accepted.
