A bar in Haworth has announced that it has closed due to "circumstances beyond its control".

Owners of The Registry On The Cobbles, which is based inside The Old Registry on Main Street, have taken to social media to share the news.

The Old Registry wanted to reassure customers that the guest accommodation and the Slow Food Kitchen remains open.

What the bar has said

A Facebook post by The Registry On The Cobbles reads: "It is with a heavy heart that we have to share the news that our bar has closed due to circumstances beyond our control.

"We want to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to every single person who has walked through our doors, supported us, shared a drink, celebrated with us and helped create lots of special memories during the past few months.

"Your custom, friendship and loyalty mean more to us than we can put into words.

"This is not the ending we had hoped for, but we will always be incredibly grateful for the laughter and more importantly the amazing people we have met along the way.

"Thank you for being part of our short journey and for all your support.

"It truly has meant the world to us."

'Re-opening the bar with a new management team'

A later post by The Old Registry read: "I’d like to make it clear that the guest accommodation and the Slow Food Kitchen remain in business and will continue to trade.

"We will be looking at re-opening the bar with a new management team to once again bring you wonderful food and drinks once again..,,, so watch this space."
