A Silsden school’s summer fair was a great success – despite having to be moved due to the weather.
The event, which was held at Hothfield Junior School rather than on its playing field, raised £725.
Attractions at the fair – organised by the school parents group – included music from Silsden Town Band, performances from the majorettes, stalls, games, crazy sand and refreshments.
There was also a barbecue, with food donated by Silsden Co-op.
Several classes ran their own stalls.
And year six pupil Matthew Loud, a member of the town band, performed a solo.
Parents group chairman Lynda Corser, who is standing down after 11 years in the role, said: “It was my last summer fair but what a great way to finish.
“There was a good turnout and a real community spirit.
“Everybody worked so hard and I felt very proud.
“I would like to thank everyone involved and say thank you to parents group member David Loud, who acted as MC.”
