Seven men have been arrested and one is in hospital after a vicious attack in a Keighley street.
A group of Asian men got out of a red Toyota Corolla and set upon the occupants of a silver vehicle with sticks.
Police were called to the incident, in Redcliffe Street, shortly after 5pm on Tuesday.
Minutes later officers attended a crash involving the same Toyota and a blue Ford Focus in Green Head Lane, Utley.
Four Asian men from the Toyota were seen running away and two occupants of the Focus were still at the scene.
Seven local men – two aged 18, two 19, one 20-year-old and the others 35 and 37 – were later arrested on suspicion of affray and were still in police custody as the Keighley News went to press. The 35-year-old is in Bradford Royal Infirmary with laceration wounds.
Acting Detective Inspector Stuart Lyons, of Airedale and North Bradford Police, said a number of witnesses had come forward but more were being sought.
Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
