A BIKE business run by a Cullingworth couple is celebrating a prestigious honour.
Pennine Cycles has been listed in the BikeBiz Top 20 Independent Bike Dealers.
The list is compiled by BikeBiz, the industry magazine.
“We are thrilled to receive this recognition,” said Pennine Cycles managing director, Paul Corcoran.
“It means a lot to us and we are extremely proud.”
He runs the business with his wife Sandra and earlier this year both were finalists in the Yorkshire Choice Awards.
They were nominated in the businessman and businesswoman categories.
The firm was established in 1946, as Whitaker and Mapplebeck (Cycles) Ltd.
In the 1950s, founders Johnny Mapplebeck and Geoff Whitaker created the ‘Pennine’ brand of frames, and soon afterwards the business began trading as Pennine Cycles.
