AN education recruitment company which supplies teachers to many Keighley-district schools has chalked-up a coveted accolade.

Justteachers Ltd has been awarded the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) Audited Education Status.

The honour is a recognised 'gold standard' for education recruitment businesses, demonstrating top standards of selection and best practice relating to the vetting of teachers, compliance with legislation and safeguarding of children.

Justteachers operations director, Caroline Cafferty, said she was "delighted and proud".

"The award is recognition of our diligence and commitment to ensuring that our standards are the highest in the industry," she added.

"Justteachers guarantees effective and ethical provision of supply teachers and support staff, who are so crucial to the lifeblood of schools."

Neil Carberry, chief executive officer of the REC, said the accolade was acknowledgement of the "dedication and professionalism" of the company's staff.

"The company is a credit to the REC and the reputation of the industry," he added.
