A MENTAL health charity which supports people across the district has won backing from a business.

The Cellar Trust has been chosen to benefit from the fundraising efforts of staff at ACS Business Supplies.

Harry Stevenson, the company's commercial director, said: "We believe all successful businesses should put something back into their local communities, and we’re proud to support The Cellar Trust.

"We want to look at a range of ways we can help, including fundraising.

"We’ll be challenging ourselves to make a real difference to the trust and the people it helps."

Last year, the charity helped more than 3,500 people throughout Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven.

Kim Shutler-Jones, chief executive officer of The Cellar Trust, pays tribute to the Bingley-based firm.

"We’re very grateful for the support from ACS Business Supplies which will help us to provide the help people need and deserve," she said.

"There are estimated to be over 150,000 people experiencing mental health problems in the Bradford district, which means services like ours are vital to the community.

"We’re also developing services to help local businesses with workplace wellbeing and this will be a great opportunity to support the work that ACS does in this area."
