MARIANNE McCallum is the new chairman of Bradford Chamber of Commerce property forum.
She succeeds Allan Booth, who has chaired the group for the past two years and will remain as a member.
The forum holds regular networking meetings and contributes to chamber lobbying activities.
"I'm pleased to be heading-up the forum for the next two years – it does a lot of good work," said Marianne, planning director with the WYG Group.
"Allan Booth needs to be mentioned, as he’s done a great job. And I’m pleased that he’s staying with us on the group.
"Bradford district is making good strides but I’m confident that we can push that progress further and faster. I’m up for the challenge."
Marianne contributed significantly to last year's chamber report, Creating Space for Future Success, produced in response to concerns from businesses about a lack of available premises for relocation.
Bradford Council appointed consultants to update the district’s Employment Land Review.
Marianne will be supported in her new role by incoming vice-chairman Jonathan O’Connor, of Walker Singleton Chartered Surveyors.
