SCHOOL children have brought early Christmas cheer to elderly patients at Airedale Hospital.
The Friends of Cononley School parent teacher association had asked pupils to buy presents for people who would be spending the Christmas period in hospital.
Dozens of gifts were subsequently bought, wrapped and delivered to patients on Ward 10.
Headteacher, Mrs Catherine Pickles, said: "The children, parents and carers were very keen to donate.
"We hope the gifts will help the patients have an enjoyable Christmas."
Tribute was paid to the school by Louise Hofman, a sister on Ward 10.
"I would like to thank the pupils and teachers for the time and effort they have put into bringing Christmas cheer to the ward," she said.
