PROCEEDS of an annual coffee day in aid of Manorlands have been handed over to the Oxenhope hospice.

Kath Neal – with her daughters Jenny and Rachel – has staged the event at her Dimples Lane, Haworth, home for the past 22 years.

This year's coffee day, which included cake and bric-a-brac stalls, a raffle and tombola, raised £3,307.

"We had a really busy day – so many people came along to support us," said Mrs Neal.

"It's always a real social occasion and it was lovely to catch up with people who attend each year to support both the coffee day and Manorlands.

"I'd like to thank the hundreds of people who gave their backing, making all the time and effort put in to organising the event worthwhile."

Since the coffee days were launched, over £38,500 has now been raised.

Manorlands' Worth Valley fundrasier, Hayley Ibbotson, thanked Mrs Neal and her family for their efforts.

"Kath's coffee day is now a well-established annual event ," she said.

"We rely heavily on the local community and people like Kath to organise such events throughout the year to help us keep the hospice and all its services running.

"The amount Kath and her family have raised over the years is truly incredible and we are lucky to have their support."
