Former One Direction member Zayn Malik has been dropped by his management due to a “series of setbacks”.

The pop star has parted ways with his manager after he allegedly punched his ex-bandmate, Louis Tomlinson.

The pair were set to appear in a Netflix road trip show together, but it was reportedly axed after Zayn was said to have punched Louis in the face.

Zayn was in the band when they were formed in 2010, but decided to leave the group in 2015.

Why did Zayn Malik’s manager drop him?

It has been reported that the singer’s manager has dropped him because of the controversy, according to a source who spoke to The Sun.

The source said: “Things reached a point where his management felt they couldn't do anything else, and they recently resigned.

“Now he is looking for the third manager of his solo career. It's not a good look.”

However, it has also been reported that the decision was mutual between Zayn and his manager, according to The Mirror.

The multi-million-pound Netflix show was set to follow Zayn and Louis around the US, as they looked back at their One Direction career and the death of Liam Payne.

It has been reported that the former bandmates have not spoken since they met to film the show.

Why did Zayn Malik cancel his tour dates?

Earlier this year, Zayn announced he would be cancelling his US tour dates as well as his shows that were scheduled to take place in Dublin, Glasgow, and Birmingham.

The singer had to make changes to the tour following health issues and posted on social media to thank the “incredible” hospital staff who had helped him.

Zayn is currently in the middle of his tour for his new album KONNAKOL and will be performing in South America this October.
