TYLER Dickinson has rejoined Cougars on a 12-month loan deal from the Huddersfield Giants.

Dickinson, aged 19, proved a pivotal part of the team last season as he made 11 appearances, scoring one try in September’s away victory against the University of Gloucestershire All Golds.

The Giants youngster had previously spoken of Cougar Park being his destination of choice should he be sent out on loan once again by Paul Anderson, despite also featuring for Halifax on four occasions in a loan spell earlier in 2015.

Dickinson said: “I’m buzzing to be back with Keighley.

“Me and Paul Anderson had a chat and I said I was settled at Keighley and was really enjoying playing at a good standard, especially with Marchy (coach Paul March) in charge who is a really good coach.

“The only difference this time is that the Giants’ have put a recall clause in the contract so I know I’ll be playing no matter where I am.

“It’s a lot better to be playing every week with the Cougars because some of the lads who were with Oldham on dual registration ended up just sat on their backsides during the second half of the season and I don’t want to do that.

“I want a promotion medal round my neck next year and there is the buzz around the place and we know if we play to our strengths then we will absolutely blitz the league with the squad we’ve got.

“I’m excited about visiting Toulouse next season but apart from that, there’s not a chance I’m looking forward to all the travelling, especially to the places like South Wales and Gloucester.”

Dickinson’s current loan has now ended, meaning he will not feature in the Danny Jones Memorial Game against Wales later this month.
