Keighley Town 2 Crossflatts Village 1

KEIGHLEY Town made it ten league wins on the bounce after coming from a goal behind in a nervy encounter at Marley, handing Crossflatts their first league defeat in the process.

Not helped by a bobbly pitch, the sides cancelled each other out in a goalless first half.

Flatts started the second half brightly and were rewarded with the opening goal of the contest. Jake Rendell's excellent free-kick was headed home by Adam Rooney, despite the best efforts of home keeper Joe Mash.

The goal opened the game up and the home side picked up the pace. They were rewarded for their efforts when Michael Donohoe levelled proceedings with an excellent volley after his first shot was parried by Flatts keeper Paul Rhodes.

Keighley piled on the pressure and scored a deserved winner when Liam Bellamy headed home, much to the delight of the home faithful.

Home manager Roy Crabtree was pleased with the result but not with the performance. He said: "We missed a lot of chances that could have cost us but we are happy with the win. There's still 10 big league games to play and it's all to play for."
