DANIEL Giblin (57) and Tom Cummins (52) starred for Harden as they scored 214 in Division Three of the Aire-Wharfe League, a total that was too good for visitors Skipton.

Opener Ben Holderness (65) threatened to spoil Harden's party, but George Gill (4-25) and Andy Wear (3-51) ensured the hosts won by 39 runs.

Elsewhere, Steeton climbed out of the Division Two relegation spots with an emphatic victory at Leeds Modernians, who take their place.

Gary Boulton (59no), John Akrigg (50) and Stephen Pearson (43no) starred in Steeton’s season-best 301-6. Boulton then took 3-42 and with Joe Stead (3-35) and Paul Hardwick (4-28), bowled out the home side for 155.

In Division One, Otley saw off third-placed Rawdon to stay clear at the top but Burley remain in hot pursuit after comprehensively beating Beckwithshaw.

Rawdon began confidently and Jake Hodges (58) took them to 125-3, but then Australian Billy Hyde produced a 5-28 spell, restricting the visitors to 197-9.

Otley's reply started badly but Alex Atkinson (46) steadied things and James Davies (49no) saw them home by four wickets.

Opener Charlie Davy led the way with 81 as Burley raced to 310-7 against the struggling defending champions. Nick Brook then produced a stunning spell of 5-11 as the hosts were dismissed for 173.

Taran Chana scored 140 not out as North Leeds set an imposing target of 245-5 against Ilkley, who were struggling at 161-7 in reply. Nick Cockroft (84no) made a stunning late knock though as Ilkley won with three balls to spare.

Ryan Sharrocks (5-36) bowled out Pool for 157 allowing Ben Heritage (83no) to clinch a five-wicket win for Horsforth.

Guiseley remain bottom after just failing to overhaul Bilton’s 255-7. Michael Truswell scored 64 in the reply but they still lost by nine runs.

Hall Park remain top of Division Two after cruising past Colton. Denis Rock top-scored in Park’s 209-8 before John Brough took 7-49 to clinch victory by 42 runs.

Mahir Ali (5-40) dismissed Olicanian for 125 and although Tong Park Esholt struggled to 88-6, Christopher Oliver (47no) saw them to the win that keeps them hot on Hall Park’s heels.

Saltaire struggled to match Kirkstall’s 223-7 but their tailenders got them home with two wickets to spare.

Addingham’s promotion hopes suffered at Ben Rhydding after Henry Barrow (4-46) helped restrict them to 136, despite Matthew Hastings scoring 50.

Alex Hentschke (6-42) did his best to salvage the situation but the hosts grabbed victory by a single wicket.

But Calverley’s hopes of escaping the drop suffered a setback when they were beaten by 165 runs against third-placed Collingham.

Division Three leaders New Rover proved too strong for Thackley, winning by five wickets, while second-placed Bardsey beat in-form Bolton Villas by 69 runs.

Green Lane also kept their challenge alive by thrashing Shadwell. Imran Zaman (89) was the main contributor in Lane’s 284 and Chris Spivey (4-65) ripped out the visitors for 112.

Finally, Menston’s tailenders Uwais Mehmood (46no) and Anas Imtiaz (46no) put up a spirited chase of Old Leodiensians’ 202-9 but came up six runs short.
