OAKWORTH missed their chance to jump into second place in the Mewies Solicitors Craven League Division One after they lost to leaders Barrowford by four wickets at Bull Holme.

The Wide Lane side were restricted to 112, with Jack Davison making 34 and Jordan Powell 27, which included a massive six on to the M65.

The hosts had slumped to 84-6 before being taken to the winning post, with Davison (3-28) and Thomas Fothergill (3-47) taking the wickets.

Bingley Congs remain in second place, on runs per wicket, after seeing off Haworth by two wickets at Beckfoot Lane.

The Bronte side posted 172-7, with Peter Gower (59) and Dan Trowers (38) being the highest scorers as Harry Greenhalgh took 3-22.

Youngster Ben Hemsley (51) set the early pace before being bowled off his helmet, but it needed a belligerent 30 not out from Matt Roberts to get them to the spoils as Steve Bell claimed 3-47.

Deepal Dissanayake made a splendid 101 to help Haworth Road Meths to 275-5 at home to Sutton.

The Royd Hill side closed on 155, with Sam Solley (45) and Rob Wilkinson (44) leading the way as three bowlers claimed three wickets apiece.

Denholme's Ryan Judson (6-28) helped Wilsden back to the hut for just 74, of which Ben Reynard made 26.

The Bradford Road side then cruised home by seven wickets.

Hepworth & Idle rattled up 191 at Crossflatts as Tahir Mehmood took 5-37, but the Ryshworth Park side took only 33.4 overs to overtake their opponents for the loss of just three wickets.

Alex Bradbury (72no), Dominic Bennett (41) and Joe Greenwood (44no) scored the majority of the runs.

Embsay's Wynn Cup euphoria came down with a bump as they lost by 31 runs at Ingrow.

The Hainworth side hit 206-9, with openers Jake Hoyle (62) and Mark Price (56) giving them a solid base to build on before Hoyle then took 4-51.

Division Two leaders Foulridge suffered their third defeat of the season – this time at Long Lee.

The Golden View side made 188-8, with Lee Humphreys (39) and Shahbaz Ahmed (37) top scoring.

The Noyna side replied with 157, with Ahmad (3-37) and Mohammad Ishtiaq (3-44) doing most of the damage.

Cowling have closed to one point of the top after beating Gargrave by six wickets at Skipton Road.

Josh Gill (3-13) and Shahid Hassan (3-20) helped the hosts back to the pavilion for 112, and Martyn Dalby (56) saw his side to the spoils.

Cononley's Charles Calvert hit a superb 142 not out out of 208-6 at Chatburn.

The Ribble Valley side replied with 182 as Cameron Knowles (5-29) and Tom Feather (4-45) shared the wickets.

Last season's champions Haworth Road Meths II went down by seven wickets at Airedale.

The Baildon Bottom side made 160, with Chris Gill taking 3-30, while in the Bradford Road side's reply Mathew Cox (82) and Trevor Cox (51) put on 123 for the second wicket which set up the victory.

Glusburn ran into Bradford & Bingley III's Farhan Khalid, who took 7-25 as they were dismissed for 68, and the visitors sauntered home by seven wickets.

Eldwick & Gilstead hung on to win by just nine runs at Sandy Lane.

The visitors made 116, with Mark Roach (26) top scoring as Attique Khan claimed 5-20.

In reply, the hosts ran into Jordan Bayliss (7-35) and closed just short.
