LEADERS Barrowford saw off second-placed Bingley Congs in their clash in Division One of the Mewies Craven Cricket League at Bull Holme to open up a three-point gap.

Congs went first and struggled to 128-8 with only Dan Marshall (36 not out) offering any real resistance. The hosts lost five wickets but reached their target comfortably.

Oakworth are now just two points behind Congs after they walloped a 10-man Haworth side by 10 wickets at home.

The depleted visitors managed just 40-9 with Tom Fothergill (3-3) and Jack Ellis (3-10) recording fine figures and Oakworth reached their target in less than seven overs.

Denholme rattled up 271-8 at Embsay with Toby Priestley (82) and Ronnie Chokununga (59no) making the bowlers toil. The home side were dismissed for 128 as Sarum Qureshi took 5-32.

Joe Greenwood (41) saw Crossflatts to 194-7 at Sutton. The hosts responded with a creditable 170 as Sam Solley (38) top scored, but they were undone by spinner Wasim Hussain's 5-48.

Wilsden hosted Ingrow in a thrilling encounter. The visitors were 112-7 when Tom Tetley joined Matthew Courtman. He hammered a quickfire 91, while Courtman reached 50, as the innings closed on 244-8.

Sam Mitchell's stylish 66 kept the hosts interested and they were 239-8 before the final over, but Doug Richardson (31no) was at the wrong end with four runs needed from the last ball.

Last man Ben Mitchell was caught at long off and the last-gasp defeat condemned Wilsden to the drop.

Cowling are a point behind Division Two leaders Foulridge after despatching Chatburn by 73 runs. Ajmal Choudhry made 45 in their 182, before Sajid Shafait (5-25) and Shahid Hassan (5-33) skittled their opponents for 109.

Long Lee had few answers to Glusburn's Rummy Smith, who took 6-14 to dismiss them for 87 before Simon Frost thrashed 57no to see his side to a crushing 10-wicket victory.

Ajeet Singh scored 102no as hosts Eldwick & Gilstead posted 193-7. Visitors Airedale then slumped to 81 all out with Jordan Bayliss taking 4-21 and Jack Dixon 3-9.

Haworth Road II reached 208-8 at home to Sandy Lane, after Jawad Ali took 4-38, but the away side never recovered from 15-4 as they closed on 167. Attique Khan (44) top scored in their 41-run defeat.

Cononley are clinging on to survival after a fine five-wicket home victory over Gargrave. The visitors stumbled to 191, thanks to Scott Brook's 4-17.

In reply, Herbie Starkey (92) and Billy Pinder (42no) took the relegation-threatened side to their vital victory.
