EIGHT West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division sides will compete in Round One of the West Riding County FA Challenge Cup and when the draw was announced, the outstanding tie was that of Ovenden West Riding and Salts.

When both sides were in the Premier Division they played out some high scoring games, although Salts have now made the step up to the West Yorkshire League.

Ovenden meanwhile. after folding at the start of the 2016-17 season, made a comeback for 2017-18 in Division One and ended up as unbeaten champions.

The two sides, who have both made indifferent starts to this season, will tomorrow renew their rivalry at Ovenden’s West Vale ground, with kick-off at 2:00pm.

Elsewhere, Silsden Whitestar, who lead the way in the Craven Premier Division, take the long trip to Huddersfield to play County Amateur Premier Division leaders Golcar United.

Both Route One Rovers and Steeton Reserves will face West Yorkshire League opponents. Route One will host Howden Clough at Esholt, whilst Steeton Reserves will travel to Ripon City.

There will be just two all Premier Division ties. Toller FC will have Bradford Olympic as their opponents at Thornton Recreation Centre, while newcomers Ryburn United welcome Lower Hopton as their visitors.
